Happy Monday my friends! As you can tell, this is a very photo-heavy post, thank you to my friend Michael who was so generously my photographer this weekend. October is in full gear and I could not be more stoked about it. Honestly, what is better than apple cider, pumpkins, and horror movies? Also, candy.

It has been starting to cool down here after a prolonged Indian summer. It is officially time to break out the jackets and full sweaters. The crux of fall fashion, as established by popular opinion, is layering, and creative layering at that. So without hesitation, I layered on.

I wanted to mix some of my favorite pieces in my closet to create a unique look. I mixed my ballet wrap top with my double-buckle western belt and threw on a leather jacket with a pair of Stan Smiths all to create this conglomerate of trends and themes.

What I love about this is that it is so practical, while also being so trendy. This can take you from running errands to doing homework at coffee shop, even to picking out a pumpkin (if you don’t mind looking a little fall-goth while doing so).

I have been playing around with layering this fall and this leather jacket is at the heart some of my favorite combinations so I suggest investing in a similar piece. My favorite way to style it currently, with a bit of grungy undertone, is with an unbuttoned flannel underneath so the jacket and shirt act as a combo piece.

Well, I won’t drag this on too much longer so, I’ll catch you on the flip side – hopefully with a new post later this week!
