The last few outfits are beautiful as well, they are taking pieces of menswear and adding it them to more toned down outfits. The tailored shorts are structured but they are a great accent piece to a put-together girly look. Menswear can seem intimidating but it is often so fashion forward and chic. Don’t be afraid to dip your toes into this trend – there is so much to love about it!
It’s A Man’s World
and women are taking over…
For years now, menswear has been taking the fashion world by storm. Yeah, menswear looks good on men, but guess what, it looks even better on women. Tailored trousers, oxford shoes, crisp button-downs, structured coats, pantsuits, and masculine accessories are all trademarks of the menswear trend and I hope they never go away. Men’s fashion is a sort of addiction to me because nothing is better than a well suited man. But a woman who can wear men’s fashion and do it better than men is not to be trifled with; it means she is confident, ambitious, and ready to take the world by storm – or at least it looks that way. Nothing exudes confidence like a beautiful woman who can rock a pinstripe blazer and a pair of Chelsea boots. Often times people are afraid to jump into the world of menswear because they are afraid it will look too masculine, but there are a million and one ways to make your menswear look feminine.
What I love about the look seen above, is that the entire ensemble is black. It’s simple, yet chic. She pairs the all-black outfit with a pair of cherry red mid heels to pull the look together. The accents of the sunglasses and the high heels are very basic but make the outfit look feminine and put together.
The look seen above is one of my favorites. This look is less based around business-wear and more around casual wear. I love how the button down is paired with the pleated trousers. The entire outfit is looser fitting, which could sometimes seem overwhelming on someone, but it makes the look seem soft and feminine. The accessories that are paired with the outfit makes it perfect for running errands or having a casual day off. The structured bag provides contrast to the softer outfit and the heeled booties add another feminine touch.
I’m a total sucker for a good pantsuit, unfortunately I do not yet have any occasion to wear one. I am die-hard obsessed with this deep teal velvet pantsuit. The outfit really stands on its own and makes a statement. The texture is eye catching and pairs so well with the color of the suit and the shoes are simple enough to not distract from the rest of the outfit.
